This famous engineering work is considered a 2000 years old art masterpiece of the Ifugaos.
Built and carve with their early ancestors using their bare hands without the help of any heavy equipment
in the mountainsides of Ifugao Province.
The Banaue Rice Terraces are acres of rice fields. They are located approximately 1500 meters (5000 ft) above sea level and they are fed by an ancient irrigation system from the rain-forests above the terraces.
It is said that if the steps were stretch and put end to end, it would encircle half the globe.
With its rich culture, Ifugao Rice Terraces is truly a unique and an amazing engineering work by the early Ifugaos.
